Robinson Street to Welcome Two New Restaurants in 2014
While Mint Gastropub and 304 Pizza Bar have moved on from Robinson Street, two new restaurants have claimed the spaces as their own.
The Boka Tako Bar, from the Boka Tako Truck family, will be moving in to 304 N Robinson St with “a taco-heavy menu with similar pricing to Harris’ brick-and-mortar spot [Boka Kantina] at 1412 Starling Drive”, Richmond BizSense reports. We are eager to try the “Asian-Mexican fusion cuisine” that the storefront currently advertises. If the success of the Boka Tako Truck is any indication, we should be seeing a new favorite happy hour hot-spot soon.
Likewise, Charlottesville favorite Continental Divide will be coming in a few blocks away to 2501 W Main St at the former location of Mint Gastropub (soon to be located at 1001 Haxall Point). The official website promises “tequila and Southwestern comfort food in a lively environment”. No opening date has been announced, but we’re excited to see them move in just the same.
