Richmond VA – Robinson Street Association is pleased to announce our 2nd Robinson Street Side Walk About taking place Saturday April 25th from 11am – 3pm featuring, sidewalk sales, crafts, food specials, art exhibits, children activities and the temporary re-opening of the RVA Street Art Festival Site at the old GRTC Bus Depot. This will mark only the second time in the past year that the site has been open to the public.
We are encouraging the public to come experience not only the amazing street art but Robinson Street and all it has to offer. Robinson Street has a very unique vibe with its wide variety of neighbors ranging from restaurants and bars to vintage stores and home decor shops and even a community hospital. Many business will be having special offers and events at their locations. Some of the examples include vinyl records from Deep Grove, great vintage clothing finds from Halycon, antique treasures from Bohland and Graham, super bargain finds from the Clothes Rack, art from both Hill Gallery & Stewart Gallery, demonstrations and samples at Starbucks and much more. In addition to merchants Robinson Street’s restaurants will have lots of great specials both inside and to go. Including Acacia doing a rare but always popular to go lunch.
At the old GRTC Bus Depot visitors will also be able to walk and view all the great murals from the RVA Street Art Festival. In addition to the art we will have bike demonstrations going on (details coming) and U-Fab will be doing free kids arts and crafts with fabrics and upholstery tacks at the old GRTC Bus Depot from 11am till 1pm, all ages welcome.
